70 Year old appear for Murder

Mohito Keabile, a 70-year-old woman of Letlhakane was arraigned in court today, charged with a single count of murder.
Keabile is accused of murdering her partner or lover, 65-year-old Tebalo Gabalape, following a misunderstanding at their residence in Letlhakane Phase I on Saturday night.

Preliminary investigations, according to Number 8 District Officer Commanding, Senior Superintendent Obert Manji, indicated that the woman had gone out and came home late, hence the man complained and a quarrel ensued.

He said in the process the man hit his woman with an axe, then in retaliation she also snatched the same tool and hit him, resulting in a fatal injury.

The injured man was taken to Letlhakane primary hospital where he was certified dead, while the suspect was arrested.

Meanwhile, Senior Magistrate Atlanang Manchwe of Letlhakane Magistrate Court, granted the accused P1000 bail on conditions that she should not commit a similar offence and should come to court as and when she is required to do so.

Keabile will be back in court again on December 1.
