Job Seekers Flock Jwaneng Labour Office

Thousands of job seekers from different areas crowded the Jwaneng Labour Office from midnight to register for casual employment.

The exercise,which runs from August 11 to 27, is intended to capture female casual employees into the database.

According to the Senior Labour Officer, Ms Kelebogile Mojadife, while this is a normal exercise, the male registration is done on a regular basis due to labour demands while the female registration was last conducted in 2024.

“The current registration is only for females because we are refilling our database. We usually do these registrations but due to the labour demands in our district, the male list is the one that moves faster and is done regularly,” she explained.

She further indicated that people seeking employment of three months or more were encouraged to register online through the Human Resource Development Council portal.
