Mogae Tolerant and Reform-Minded Leader

A former legislator during Former President Festus Mogae’s era, Mr Botsalo Ntuane, says the former President did not view political differences as a threat, but an important part of democracy and national growth.

Paying tribute to Mogae, Mr Ntuane described him as a tolerant and reform-minded leader who promoted dialogue, fairness, and coexistence among political rivals.

He praised Mogae’s commitment to constitutionalism, good governance and democratic reforms that strengthened Botswana’s political institutions.

Ntuane added that Mogae’s leadership was guided by empathy, fiscal discipline, and a strong social conscience, leaving behind a legacy of political stability and democratic maturity in Botswana.
